Winter Ski Season Started 8th December 2011!

This year's winter season has started today, with Hochfugen opening for the first time this year. Greg is up there with our first customers for a day's skiing. As well as Hochfugen, Hochzillertal and some of the other resorts in the valley are also opening today. Snow has come slightly later than previous years, but we're hoping that this will mean more snowfall during the season!!

British Disabled Ski Team - Training in Hintertux, Austria

The BDST development team are back in Hintertux over the next couple of weeks.
The team are under the guidance of two new coaches so I am sure there will plenty of excitement for them.
Redpoint have again organised the Travel, Transfers and Accommodation for the team to take some of the stress out of the trip for the organisers. The partnership has now lasted over 5 yrs and we are looking forward to seeing some of the development team moving onto the National team and then hopefully the Olympics.

BASI Trainers Conference - Hintertux Austria

The British Association of Snowsport Instructors had the annual Trainers conference in Hintertux again this year.
After the successfull completion of the Instructor training courses in May the trainers selected Hintertux as the venue for this years conference.
Some of the trainers have spent over 6 weeks in Hintertux this year providing training for up and comming Snowsport Instructors.
Redpoint have again been asked to provide a package of Travel, Transfer and Accommodation for the students and Trainers. The courses and location have beeen well received and we are looking forward to them returning in Aprill 2012.

Family Activity Holiday Austria - Paragliding

We abandoned the mountainbiking today as the wind looks like it is going to be to strong to Paraglide on Friday.
Here is Ben enjoing his tandem paragliding flight today from Spieljoch above Fugen, Austria.
Ben has almost completed the Families activity holiday in Austria and they will be leaving on Saturday. Just in time as the weather looks like it is changing on Saturday to be a little wetter! It will make a nice change from the week of 30 degrees temps we have been having.

White Water Rafting for the family - Austria

Family rafting today was great fun.
Quite challenging with 5 Italians so the guiding was a good laugh, we all got the hang of it and we even managed to sing to the tourists as we floated past Rattenburg.
Our guests are at the front of the boat they all seem to be smiling so that’s gotta mean they are having a good time.
Family white water rafting is suitable for kids from 6 yrs and up (of course adults are welcome to join the fun)
Looks like a nice walk along Lake Achsensee tomorrow.

White Water Tubing in Austria - Family Active holiday

After being so hot all day it great to get in to the water.

Helen is out in Fugen, Austria on a Family Activity Holiday with her 2 boys and her husband.
This was the first of the water base activities they are planning, tomorrow rafting so I think everybody is looking forward to another splash...
