It is snowing! It's a bit early

Well to match the fact that Nina is flat out with winter bookings, we have had the first heavy snow down to 1000m over the last 2 days. The photo is not that clear I'll update it if it clears. This is good news for the people that where coming to ski on the glacier later in Oct.
The winter season is just around the corner. We are still expecting the weather to return to normal September temperatures next week.

Summer Glacier Skiing Austria

After all the great weather the day I picked for summer glacier skiing looked like it might not turn out very nice. We headed for the top where there is a nice area for trying out skiing for the first time. It was these guys first time skiing so we ran a trail 2 hrs to see if it was something they might like to do more of. The glacier in the summer is not really a good place to learn to ski but there is enough space to have a slide! The views where pretty good considering the forecast, we got to the restaurant just before it started to rain. They seem keen to learn in the winter so we hope to see them soon. Summer Skiing

Salzburg City Tour

After the effort of learning to paddle on Saturday we opted for a day out to Salzburg.
The weather was perfect if not a little hot with blue skies all day. The photo is from the center of Salzburg next to Mozart's square. It was a busy day for me while the guys looked around enjoying the fantastic Salzburg sights i was looking for a place to watch the Formula 1. After a few hours of looking I unfortunately ended up in a dark Irish bar which I was hoping to avoid! It was a good day.
